Van Alstyne ISD

LION filed a public-records request at Van Alstyne ISD on April 17, 2026, asking for the district’s library catalog and curriculum lists. After the district initially billed $75 for the records, LION disputed the charge under Texas Public Information Act rules and filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Open Government Division.

On April 30, 2026, Van Alstyne ISD withdrew the invoice and delivered the complete library catalog — one spreadsheet per campus — along with the district’s ELAR reading list. The matter was resolved by the district voluntarily and before any Attorney General disposition.
